Dewsbury Creatives are a collective of Artists and Makers that have come together to bring a new shopping experience within The Arcade Pop up space in The Princess of Wales Shopping Precinct in Dewsbury Town Centre – formerly the old Argos.
Jane Platts Art at Black Box Yorkshire Studios, Mindful Maker CIC, Yaga Art and The Yorkshire Magpie offer a wide range of handcrafted Art, Textiles, Decor, Gifts and Jewellery.
Each Maker has their own distinctive style and hopes to bring something different to Dewsbury.
The Artists and Makers are giving their own time to run and manage to shop so this is also a unique opportunity to come and chat with them about their makes and themselves. Alongside their creative practices they also offer creative workshops in the community supporting adults and children with their mental well-being.
Shop opening hours are Wednesday and Friday 10am – 2pm with additional dates running up to Christmas. The Collective will open their doors to the public on Wednesday 4th and Friday 6th of December with an official opening on Saturday 7th 11am – 3pm.
